24 May 2006 - Hessisch Lichtenau, Germany Concert Review 25 May 2006
Absolute fantastic Performance!!!

A review by Kai Humml / Kaihumml@yahoo.com

Last night Bon Jovi rocked the tiny town of Hessisch Lichtenau, probably the smallest town they ever visited on a tour ;-)
It was a great show of the boys and also the support bands were awesome. The first one was a hessian band called "Myris". They won a contest at a local radio station as support band for Bon Jovi. After them Nickelback rocked the masses with their already well known
hits like "Too bad", "Far away" and of course "How you remind me". They are live as good as on their studio albums! About 30.000 fans came to Hessisch Lichtenau and no one regret the way! After about one hour of perfect live played rock Nickelback said bye and one hour later the show started with "Raise your hands". The hardly took a break between the songs so that one song went into the next one. Perfect Show! The new stage was also fantastic, a giant videoscreen and hundreds of lights and beamers to make the stage a whole videoscreen. There was also a walkway around the inner stage area where Jon twice "visited" the fans in the normal area to greet them and shake hands (I was one of the lucky ones!!) and everybody loved that effect. Right from the start everybody sang with full power to show the guys that they are simply the best and they noticed and had fun! One of the many highlights was Richies performance of "I'll be there for you". After he ended the song the audience "forced" them by singing on and on to go along again.
Here is the complete setlist from HeLi:

RAISE YOUR HANDS
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
CAPTAIN CRASH & THE BEAUTY QUEEN FROM MARS
I'D DIE FOR YOU
THE RADIO SAVED MY LIFE TONIGHT
EVERYDAY
BORN TO BE MY BABY
STORY OF MY LIFE
THESE DAYS
IN THESE ARMS
HAVE A NICE DAY
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME
IT'S MY LIFE
I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU (electric version, Richie on vocal)
LAST MAN STANDING
WILD IN THE STREETS
KEEP THE FAITH
BAD MEDICINE (SHOUT)
LIVIN' ON A PRAYER

encores:
GARAGELAND
I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE

I must admit that I was a little bit surprised that "only" one encore was permitted but I've heard that they had to bring the stage to the Netherlands for tonight. Anyway it was an awesome show and worth every cent. Over all they played for 2 hours and about 15 minutes. They played nearly every great hit I wished for my own "most favourite" playlist. Even "These Days" which I love the most.
Let's hope the next tour is not again three years away!
After waiting for three years after the Bounce Tour 2003 now I can't wait for the next to see them live again! Cheers to everybody who will see them on their tour!
