All Worth It!
after two taxis, one minibus, four coaches, two buses and a lot of walking, we're finally home. But hell it was worth it all.
It rained all day as we entered the Bowl at about 3pm. After loads of waiting, the first support act came on, Delirious and they were actually really good, much better than Matchbox 20 who came about an hour later. Just after 8 oclock the video screens came on and the wicked opening sequence started, the band coming out to One Wild Night. Highlights were Captain Crash, Blaze Of Glory, It's My Life, Wild In The Streets and Raise Your Hands and I'll Be There For You. The best was definately Livin On A Prayer, it was really good the way they left it until last and went out on a high.
The only bad song was Say It Isn't So, which was way below the standards of the others. If they'd replaced it with Blood On Blood it would have been the perfect setlist.
All in all though, it was the best rock gig ever, much better than last year. The band obviously thought so too, you could tell they were loving it up there. Nice One Lads!
