Beautiful guitar, no doubt about it. But does Richie even know that it has been built for him? Has anyone ever seen it in Richie's hands? I somehow doubt the story behind it. PRS does that hell of a guitar, a one-off thing, for one of the most notorious guitarists in the world. And yet no-one ever knew about it? No-one ever saw Richie playing it, talking about it, bragging about it like he used to do about quite lesser special guitars he had in the past? Not even PRS did some promotion on it? Even if they didn't plan to make a series and sell it, it would have been some nice publicity.
When I do a Google search, the only results I get all turn around that auction and that shop who's auctioning it. All auctions I've ever seen with a guitar Richie once owned always had a picture with Richie and that guitar and usually even a handwritten letter from Richie. Why not this one? Why did Orianthi gave it away and not Richie himself?
Since Norman's Rare Guitars is Richie's guitar dealer of choice and a friend, why isn't Norm the one to profit from such a special guitar given away by Richie?

I don't know...it's strange to me.

Yeah this is weird. My guess is it was a prototype in an attempt to woo him into being a PRS artist. With Oranthi's strong affiliation with the company it makes sense she was involved in this.

Looks like it's been on the market since March of 2020 and it's on a handful of sites (Reverb, Youtube). Did anything say WHEN it was built?

Not in a million years would I have thought a Rickenbacker was on Hook Me Up but this is neat anyway.

Yesteeday was my first "post Covid" show.
I went to see Bryan Adams in Madrid.
Funny that my last show before covid was Bryan as well
I can not understand how in the world Jon planned a tour with Bryan playing (and singing) before him.
Bryan is in an amazing fit,his voice is better than ever, the songs are played in their original key,on the other side,we all know what current Bon Jovi is..
Fans would have left the stadiums comparing Bryan and Jon.
That tour would have destroyed more Bon Jovis legacy.
I left the arena thinking more than ever how JBJ and BJ are done.

Absolutely! I've seen Bryan 4-5 times through the years before Covid (last time in 201 and man, he kicks ass! To cancel the tour with him was the best that could happen to Jon vocal-wise. It might have helped to sell tickets but that's all about it.

Thanks for reminding me of Bryan Adams. Just bought a ticket for the show in Cologne next month.

I think this has been asked around here before but I can't seem to find the discussion. If anyone can help, I was looking for info on Jon's guitar that he used for the 2009 fan club shows. Specifically the one he used for the covers. These are the only 2 pics I could find

Anyone know the make and model??
