I don't see any problem here. Gene Simmons said that Paul Stanley listen NJ and SWW again and again to write songs with that way like Bon Jovi did.
Nickelback try to be new Bon Jovi with more heavy sound.
Gerrard Way said that "Slippery when Wet" had big influence in their probably biggest hit - "Famous Last Word" ecc.

Some of the artist which said that BJ had influence on their songs:
Kiss (Paul Stanley), My Chemical Romance (Gerrard Way), Nickelback, Daughtry, Hoobstank, Queen Of The Stones Age, Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Skid Row, Damn Yankees, Poison, Slaughter, Dragonforce, All American Rejects

I also could count artist which cover Bon Jovi songs. For me it shows that song from Bon Jovi is big inspiration for that artist. so..
Elvis Costello, Tori Amos, Paul Anka, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Anastacia, Bananarama, Atreyu, Groove Coverage, Shinedown, Sunrise Avenue or Dolly Parton

I also think that their 89 vma show inluected some artist to record music acoustic.

It'd probably be Prayer/IML/Who Says that they'd play

Not their biggest hit by a long shot. I love the song, but I'm Not Okay, Helena or Teenagers were bigger.

Yeah and Melissa Etheridge, Pink, Goo Goo Dools maybe?

Corey Taylor is a big fan of the music of the eighties, but I do not think it would lend itself to this. That is the problem, many of them who have been influenced will not admit it and less support this.

All-American Rejects is another that comes to mind.

Pink would be cool.

I was also thinking that it would be great to get the band to one million votes. However, the catch is, I was thinking it would be amazing to get them a million votes in the lead. I mean, if they get a million and Dire Straits gets 850,000, it’s not much of a win. If we all pull together and effectively destroy the competition, the voting committee will have to take notice.

It’s not a completely unrealistic goal. We have approximately a 33,000 lead in less than a week and two months to keep increasing that lead. Just get everyone we can to vote every day like clockwork.

Remember the poll that pitted Tico against Neal Peart? It was obviously intended to be a humiliating blowout, but thanks our pulling together, Tico lost by an insignificant margin. We did it before, and we can do it again!

That is why, as an everyday reminder, I've added the voting link to my sig. I urge the mods in particular to do the same.
