There you go. And you wouldn't even know they were on the album unless you looked at the credits... We can now add Tommy Lee to the next album in the same scenario as the others.

I think it would be.cool, too; and I'm about 60/40 that you're right and it will be. I can't recall the details; but I know there was a rather lengthy discussion about it. I remember being dead certain that it was for Richie's album at first; and then slowly becoming convinced that it may not be. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I just threw it out there because I don't want people to expect Tommy to be on the album and then be disappointed if he isn't.

Sorry, I misunderstood your original statement, I thought you were saying Steven played on Aftermath.

For what it's worth you guys aren't correct about the marketing/credits on that song. The booklet has "Harmonica [Stankin' Harp] – Lippy La Rue" for that credit, I assume due to contracts and labels and Steven's appearance being uncredited. Hundred percent it's a cool guest appearance but it wasn't done for marketing purposes.

If anyone's interested, I found the discussion about all the projects that were going on around the time the clip with Tommy Lee was first posted. (Funny how time flies. In my head I was thinking it was 2 or 3 years ago; but it was actually just one year ago, almost to the day.)

It started here with post #815:

https://drycounty.com/jovitalk/bon-j...91/page82.html

After all the speculating and theorizing it kinda fades after Yovana's post (#851) about Parker's album and the "Who Ya Gonna Call" doc that he was working on with Strine. As I said, there were no conclusions drawn; just a bunch of guesses.

ETA: I just posted a link on the 2020 album thread about Motley Crue and Def Lepoard still planning to go forward with their stadium tour this summer. The article also mentioned that Tommy Lee's "working on a new solo album." I assume it's the same album that he was working on (which was supposedly being released in "the next 3-4 weeks") when the clip of him and Richie in the studio was filmed.

The fact that Ori is gone is a major change though. Richie can write for himself and he does not have to take his girlfriend's ego into consideration nor does he have to share the lead vocals or the (non existential) guitar work as he did when she was around. RSO was so un-Richie (and un-Orianthi) that I would simply ignore it when thinking about what the future Richie Sambora record would sound like. RSO in hindsight, and in my view, was just an afterthought to a several years long holiday.

Richie seems to be a lot better. He has no pressure what so ever. I think the record will be good. I wouldn't mind a great record, but that is so hit and miss with artists that are getting up their age. Richie has his voice etc., but does he have the passion? And luck?

Funnily enough, I think Ori's record might be good, too. For the first time ever she has actual material to write some blues instead of coming up with it. I am not that fond of her voice, but she is a great player.

+1 here.

Funny enough, both their "solo" songs in the RSO album were better than their RSO songs. I really like Ori and I think Blues Won't Leave Me Alone is one of her best songs. And One Night of Peace is classic Richie.

From RSO specifically, I like Forever All The Way, I Don't Want To Have To Need You Now and What Have We Done. This is the direction I want Richie to go.

I mean it absolutely makes RSO sound better!

I can't imagine why Richie is willing to be so nice to Megan's kid. Hmmm, does he have a thing for hot blondes?
