It doesn't necessarily have to be a grudge. You could make peace with somebody and realize that you grew apart. Or you could acknowledge that you can't rely on someone to do their job because of your past experience and it doesn't really have to be a grudge, bitterness or anything like that. It's sad really, before 2006 Richie was as reliable as they come, the dude even played with a broken shoulder in 2005-2006 tour ffs!! Even then, taking out his stints in rehab he had only missed 1 show without notice until 2013. But it may be a combination of everything on top of just growing apart and becoming different people....

It feels like......everything fell apart when we took the little Richie said, got excited and ran with it based on a few words. We later learned we took too much out of context, then heard what Desmond said and are repeating the process. I think it's far more complicated than just going by Jon telling Desmond it's not happening. I don't know if we'll ever know how close it was TO happening. Or if the delay in Richie's album was in case it did?

If there is finally a 40th anniversary tour, it won't be 2023. It will most likely happen in 2024 (if it happens at all). So Richie could release the album this year and do some shows.

But, as far as we can come to believe Richie or Desmond? Let's be real, if Richie is finally back, Desmond is not going to confirm it in a podcast, he would say that he knows nothing in the best of cases, or this don't is happening now to safeguard the official announcement... when the moment comes.

It seems that there is a plan for a tour next year, with new material or it may just be the box-set and the documentary series. Whatever... the thing is, maybe Richie's return is still not clear to Jon, and maybe Richie is stirring up the hornet's nest because he really wants to come back, but so far he hasn't convinced Jon... or maybe, they have not discussed the matter in depth.

All I know is that if Richie doesn't release his new album soon, it's going to be another big disappointment, and there are a lot of them. I need some good news, dammit.

Richie wanna come back since 2013...
All what I saw in that interview was wishful thinking.
On the other hand, Matthew denied it and Desmond said: Eso no es verdad. No no no, yo estaba con él y dijo que eso es absolutamente no, no es cierto. Eso es quizás por la gente de Richie, los publicadores de su música, quizás es algo que ellos quieren, para darle más fuerza a la música de él.

agree with that. i think richie used his stint on masked singer to put pressure on Jon to take him back.

he isnt coming back unless its PR for boxset/documentary.

Man, I'm so pissed. This has turned into a flashback of Riche claiming he's rejoining the band in London in 2013. WTF.

I believe Desmond. Jon and Desmond are very close. Jon is Desmond's sons' god father.

But I couldn't give two shits about a new Bon Jovi album with the current lineup. Even with Desmond co-writing. Jon literally cannot sing anymore. I was all in to see the band one more time with the original living members. If Richie is out, I'm out.

yeah since Richie left the albums have been awful bar the odd good song but they are very few and far between. The band are finished, no ones buying the albums, the singer cant sing and the stage is full of imposters.
release a 40th boxset, do the documentary and call it a day.
the last decade have been really poor for the band.

agree... if Richie is left out from the last chapters i am out as well...

i will listen the new songs but its obvious richies creatives input is missing...

now its mainly silly simple songs written in 15 minutes top..with only a few exceptions...

With richie i was about to travel around the world just to see them one last time.
