Funny review to read. The 3 shows I went to yet were very good.
Sure his voice is what it is, but certainly not getting worse as the tour rolls on.
The setlists are less varied and a bit shorter but WHAT is played is played very well and the band sounds super tight. I know Phil's sound isn't Richie's sound and Shanks is not Bobby but as a whole the band sounds strong. And what Jon has less in vocal power is greatly compensated by his stage enthusiasm.
I wasn't in Munich, but I was in Dusseldorf and I guess it was hard to walk out unsatisfied after the energy they put into the show.

As I said it before. This band is still putting on an amazing show but they have a tough time competing with their own history. Anyway - Usain Bolt won't finish his 100 meters in the same time when he's 57 either. But he'll still be one of the fastest guys on the planet amongst all other 57 year olds

Good to know. Will you still be working on the bjtours website or is that a done deal, too?

Either way, please know you'll be missed around here. I hope you'll stay in touch !

Default The Official July 5 Olympiastadion, Munich, Germany Thread

I’ve always said if Bon Jovi started with Crush I’d never be a fan. I don’t mind (half that album) but like everything after it’s just OK.

I was having this discussion with a friend recently and we agreed that if a band go on for a long time you don’t have to like all the albums. There’s nothing wrong with liking only 4 of 12 or 14 albums. You’re still a fan. You don’t have to like them all.

Said before my mates a huge Manics fan. The biggest I know...but hates everything after The Holy Bible (3rd album).

There’s loads of bands I like all their stuff and some bands just a few albums. You tend to find bands with less albums you like more of their catalogue as it’s easier to maintain quality over fewer albums. (gnr, early skid row, poison to name a few). Those with bigger output (ac/dc Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, wildhearts, Manics for example) all have some really piss poor albums in their locker.

I’m pleased I went to Wembley but I was so disappointed with the set.

Still, they can sell out Wembley which is more than The Who can!

The touring website will still be worked upon, I love that project

And I'll stick around here as well, just not with the intensity I used to for some time. But as I said, I'll still keep track of what's happening. And maybe the fire might come back (be it a new album or them really finally letting Obie off the leash and give us another Box Set).

Another couple things I left out

I think now there is an over reliance on Phil for vocals. Why is Dave not singing more. He could easily sing all of ITA. And they should have jammed with Def Leppard. A jam would have blown the roof off.

I really enjoy Def Leppard as support act.

Jaming seems a thing of the past doesn’t it?
I’ve got the Stairway to Heaven album from Moscow peace festival. Great jams on there.

You'll be back mate. Nobody can look away at a trainwreck.
