just wow...these gigs suit jon so much...i never heard him more relaxed, funny self assured...just wow...
every answer looked sincere, no big talk, no cliches...in really good mood.
jon changed and matured a lot the last years, but it looks to me that now the "transformation"is completed, from the blonde rockstar showman to the more mature "legendary"rocker/songwriter who s comfortable in his shoes...
maybe i m reading to much into it but i ve watced every clip never seen him more confident, down to earth and humorous...surprised really..
if jon david and tico feel comfortable and in love with the new music i can live with a richieless bon jovi.

I'd say it's a combination of things. I wonder if he thought his 'time-off' would be 'succesful' in terms of, the football team, possibly patching things up with Richie etc.. Could be a few things.

I like the answer to the questions. They seem genuine and he looks like he is in a pretty good mood.

What does my head in is how the audience laugh after everything he says. Sure, some things can be slightly funny but they laugh as if they've gone to see a comedian.

Maybe it's just me..

I agree with most of what you wrote, although I found him to be a bit uncomfortable with some of the questions, or while waiting to answer them. A lot of faked smiles, etc. in there, but some genuine too. Overall, he seemed to enjoy the setting, though.

There were other things in his personal life. His son was injured and unable to play for his college team--having an injured child is upsetting, especially when that child's dreams are are sidelined (no pun intended). Who knows what's going on with Stephanie since her drug OD. She's been completely out of the spotlight, but I'm sure he's been worried about her ever since too. And, of course, the Richie thing.

As far as the people laughing at everything like it's so funny--they're probably laughing partly because they're nervous and they're sitting in front of their idol. Given how much money these people paid to be there, it's safe to say they're pretty devoted fans. Laughter is a normal response to being nervous.

Wait! Jon has a personal life? You mean he doesn't just sit around all day thinking about Richie and writing songs about him? There could actually be more to it?

This post was totally uncalled for. Becky simply answered why most of 2014 may not have been 'ok' for Jon since it was brought up before.
Absolutely no need in getting sarcastic.

I was actually agreeing with her through sarcasm.

The list could be endless...

Maybe but I found it annoying nonetheless. Nervous or not.

That's the Bon Jovi I hate. I feel like I've heard this song 50 times already.
Safe tempo, vocals and nothing diferent from what they released during the last 5 years.
