Anyone has got the book and can give a detailed review? Most unathorized Bon Jovi biographies I have read have been pretty bas imo. The facts are often terribly wrong and often half the books is based around 86-91.
But from what I've understood this seems to be a pretty good book so would be interesting to hear from someone who has actually read it.

I asked for it for Christmas on the caveat the price went down as it wasn't worth £20+ that it was listed for. So will see if Santa brings it

Did indeed get the book today, it's huge. Looks really good photo wise, chapters split up into a few years at a time. Not had enough shits yet to read past the first chapter but seems decent so far. I'm sure I'll get to read a few more once I have a large turkey dinner..

Getting there slowly with the book, but so far I'd really recommend picking it up. I was expecting a book the size of the other JBJ biography that came out a few years back, so to get a big glossy book the size of the WWWB book was a surprise. Lots of nice photos of the band and of other things like tickets and concert tickets/adverts and the like.

I'm only up to the Blaze/Stranger period so far. It goes into more detail about pre-band formation then any other chapter, especially as it has specific interviews with people like George Karak, Bruce Foster etc.. It then almost glosses over the first 2 albums somewhat. But then, we all know the story by now of most of those periods, whereas it was good to have some meat on the bones of the band formation, especially as these stories tend to change often.

It helps to bring up points I may have missed and little tidbits- such as Jambco releasing 2 albums. Aldo Nova's Blood On The Bricks and Billy Falcon's which was called "Heaven's Highest Hill". Now that was a phrase that I thought sounded familar- a quick google shows it's turned up in August 7 4.15, and also again in All Hail The King on THINFS. Neither of which, Falcon has any co-credit for.

Billy Falcon's album on JAMBCO was called Pretty Blue World.

Yep that's my bad, the book does say that, I was paraphrasing and mixed up the song and the album.

I did check out Aldo Novas album for the first time today though because of it. Fairly decent, with a good couple of tracks that are pretty much Bon Jovi songs with a different singer.

Someday and Young Love especially. Young Love sounds so much like Open all Night (box set version) it's spooky.

Also, Hey Ronnie could've easily been on SWW; This Ain't Love on NJ. So no wonder that by 1991 it was already outdated and the album tanked commercially. It could have very well been a signal for Jon that he has to update the sound in the new decade for their 'comeback' effort (KTF, obviously).

I always wished there were demos in the vault with Jon's vocals on them...
