if someone wanted to make a comparison about Jon's voice and his way to sing that song could do it with a live performance from 2013 like this one.

This is awful and probably a good example of why he sticks with Shanks in the studio, as I presume that this wasn't produced by him. Shanks knows his voice so well that he knows how to make it sound decent on record. I'd imagine that the thought of starting again with someone else might be a little daunting for Jon at this stage.

Don't worry except some exceptions like this one Jon won't leave Shanks, they'll stay forever side by side...


Yes someone could say anything about his thoughts about Shanks, but he knows Jon's voice well.



Anyway maybe i'm the only one, but Jon was good in this song in my opinion and it's just an holiday song that it should bring some Christmas atmosphere

It's totally alright to like it. But he's not singing, he's simply shouting out the notes. Notes where he roamed the stage, joking with Santa even back on the Lost Highway tour.
As I said, if someone enjoys it, that's great! But a singer is judged by his singing and in that case, it wasn't good at all.

I’m not sure but almost seems that Jon’s vocals were recorded practically live in his ex recording studio at his home in NJ where they make mostly rehearsal now judging the way Jon shout

With so many things in their career, he's 20 years too late with that recording.
