Default SiriusXM Bon Jovi Radio ch. 709 stuff

Hi,

I decided to create separate topic for SiriusXM stuff, since it is not part of JBJ Experience.
My plan is to update this post with new shows, if possible.

Radio link: https://www.siriusxm.com/channels/bon-jovi-radio

I was surprised that majority of active JoviTalk community is not happy about new stuff or at least very reluctant to say anything good about this. For me, however, it is substantial change comparing to JBJ Experience stuff. If only I lived in USA I would subscribe for SiriusXM. And - to be honest - I don't care much about mono mix. Whatever they are publishing it's better than all FM or audience rips. And honestly - I am barely collecting audience stuff since it's not suitable for any high human sensation, so China Club 2000 matinee and Wembley 1988 audience shows were not taking up space on my storage. Currently, I am glad they appeared in audible quality.

Summarizing, to this day we had two shows:

2000-09-20 - USA, NY, New York City, China club - matinee show - aired 2021-09-03
All Q&A sessions were wiped out
1. Love for Sale (acoustic)
2. Captain Crash
3. Runaway (acoustic)
4. It's My Life
5. You Give Love a Bad Name
6. Thank you for Loving Me - There are not so many soundboard recordings of live performances
7. Livin' On a Prayer (acoustic)
8. Wanted Dead or Alive

In overall good show, but lack some kind of spirit. But anyway, it's good to have it in collection still.

1988-12-12 - UK, London, Wembley Stadium, 3rd night - aired 2021-09-10
1. Lay Your Hands on Me (missing, probably due to recording problems Obie mentioned)
2. I'd Die for You
3. Wild in the Streets
4. You Give Love a Bad Name
5. Born to Be My Baby
6. Homebound Train - YEAH not so often in soundboard quality
7. Let It Rock
8. I'll Be There for You
9. Blood on Blood
10. Get Ready ~ Oh, Pretty Woman
11. Livin' on a Prayer
12. Ride Cowboy Ride
13. Wanted Dead or Alive
14. Bad Medicine
15. Get Back
16. Travelin' Band

I already wrote that this is in my opinion best soundboard recroding of NJ era show. It has literally everything in the right place. I love Homebound Train and Pink Flamingos intro. It was also good to hear Get Ready. But what I was suprised most is the Wanted Dead Or Alive. Jon still was singing it similar to album version, with proper melody and voice style. Whole song has strong cowboy climat - lost definitely after These Days era. This recording is must-have for every BJ fan.

1992-10-09 - USA, CA, Los Angeles, Hollywood Palladium, Rip 6th Anniversary Party - aired 2021-09-17
1. With a Little Help From My Friends
2. Wild in the Streets
3. You Give Love a Bad Name
4. Born to Be My Baby
5. I'd Die For You
6. Blaze of Glory - missing
7. Bad Medicine (and medleys)
8. Shout

Show with big energy. Very interesting that played in correctly tuned instruments (usaully they are lowered by half step down). Between BTBMB and IDFY interesting transition... Jon has some voice issues but they maintained energy through entire show. For unknown reasons Blaze of Glory was cut, but for sure it was played according to Variety: https://variety.com/1992/legit/revie...ty-1200430809/

1995-12-01 - South Africa, Johannesburg - aired 2021-09-24
1. Helter Skelter
2. Hey God
3. Livin' On A Prayer
4. You Give Love A Bad Name
5. Keep The Faith
6. These Days
7. Bed Of Roses
8. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night - missing, but appears in broadcast
9. Because The Night ~ Damned - Rarity
10. Something For The Pain
11. Blood Money
12. Blaze Of Glory
13. Lay Your Hands On Me
14. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead ~ Papa Was A Rolling Stone ~ Jumpin' Jack Flash
15. Bad Medicine
16. Shout
17. Always
18. Wanted Dead Or Alive
19. Blood On Blood
20. Lie To Me - Rarity
21. Rockin' In The Free World
22. This Ain't A Love Song

Another energetic show, one well known from broadcast (which Obie even admits) but this time in full version. Lie To Me and Damned were on setlist. Band in top performance. Couple of interesting moments, like Wanted Dead Or Alive intro or Shout with long presenting band members. Around Because The Night and Blood Money there were some changes in volume, initially I thought they come with setlist tampering/copy/paste (which could be true for Someday I'll Be Saturday Night missing), but I think later it's more related with sound system changes for Jon solos during show.

2000-07-20 - Japan, Osaka - aired 2021-10-01
1. Rockin' In The Free World
2. Just Older
3. Livin' On A Prayer
4. You Give Love A Bad Name
5. It's my Life
6. Say It Isn't So - soundboard rarity!
7. Next 100 Years
8. Runaway 2000
9. Mystery Train
10. One Wild Night
11. Lay Your Hands On Me
12. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead ~ Rockin' All Over The World - astonishing performance!
13. Bad Medicine
14. Shout
15. Lean On Me - rarity!
16. Keep The Faith
17. I Got The Girl - missing
18. Two Story Town
19. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night - missing
20. Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars - missing
21. Wanted Dead Or Alive - missing
22. Blood On Blood - probably first sbd of this song from Crush Tour

Great topic and update...

I just joined Sirius so I'm getting used to the layout...

Where are both of these shows?

I see China Club is scheduled for Friday 6pm - 7pm... but nothing comes up for Wembley.

They are currently playing Wembley... It sounds terrible... Like a low bit rate and recording it on Audacity sounds even worse.

Hey guys, sorry, but how are you listening to these concerts not being in the US? I'm in Ireland right now and I'd like to check them out

I just happened to log into Sirius and Wembley was on. You can go back an hour so I was lucky to catch the beginning.

I recorded it on Audacity and it came out terrible. It sounds like IEM with tinny drums...

Can anyone recommend how to maximize the recording quality in the settings?

If anyone knows when China Club 2000 is going to repeat, please let me know.

All happiness about the quality and the fact that they put the old stuff out aside, this actually was a rather weak night in terms of performance. Other Wembley shows (like the 2nd night) were much stronger, not to even mention the string of Wembley shows in 1990 which pissed pretty much all over this.
But well, it's a starter...

All day listening to the bon jovi radio. KTF and TD are my fav albums. The rest is great, but... If not for these two albums, today would have been a very boring day in Bon Jovi Radio for me.
