Default Motley Crue - Yet ANOTHER Greatest Hits Record

LOL!!!!

I love the Crue, don't get me wrong. But this is becoming silly. Let's take a quick look at just the Official GH packages:

Decade of Decadence
Greatest Hits
Red, White and Crue
Greatest Hits (2009)

How many times are they possibly going to repackage the same album, throw a couple new songs on it, and call it a new Greatest Hits album? Every song that was on the 1st, was on the 2nd (plus 2). Every one that was on the 2nd was on the 3rd (plus a whole disc full of songs that were on previous albums, but weren't hits.) What in the hell could possibly be on this one?

I read that and that sucks. What's the point of releasing all these Greatest Hits over and over again? There was a message from Sixx saying he wrote some new songs already and now that

I don't know the band, so I got the 1998 Greatest Hits to get to know them. I think it's a good start. I couldn't stand a double disc set at this point...

Dammit Sixx, save the songs for a full new Crue record!

But hey, if we get new Crue songs this year, I shall not complain too much.

And it might mean a UK tour at long last I did read Sixx and Mars saying a few months ago they're really hoping to do some dates in the UK in 2010 so this is the perfect opportunity.

I'm so excited

EDIT: Also I just remembered, isn't Vince supposed to be releasing a new solo album this year too? I forgot about that. WOOT WOOT. Love that man.

New album would be cool I just have "Exposed" and that one is amazing! Don't know about Carved In Stone...

Motley-wise I liked the self titled with Corabi aloooot (beside the classic ones)

I ****ing hate that album. The "bounce" album of motley crüe. Vince is the only guy that can pull it off. The whole album is shit IMO.

LoL calling it the "Bounce" of MC albums is a bit harsh! I'd say Generation Swine is weaker than that album. (and I do quite like that album as well)

Mötley Crüe is a good dirty heavy rock album IMO. Thing is, I don't treat it as a "Mötley Crüe" album as such, but more like a super-group type album. Plus I do like heavier stuff as well. Misunderstood is one of my favorite songs ever, not just by Crüe. Put it this way, there are worse albums out there than that.

Back on topic, it seems wasteful to write new songs for a greatest hits album rather than keeping them for a new studio album. Still, new Crüe songs are always welcome.

Here is the tracklist for the new Greatest Hits:

(Not the actual album cover but this is the image they've used)

1. Too Fast for Love
2. Shout at the Devil
3. Looks that Kill
4. Too Young to Fall in Love
5. Smokin' in the Boys Room
6. Home Sweet Home
7. Wild Side
8. Girls, Girls, Girls
9. Dr. Feelgood
10. Kickstart My Heart
11. Same 'Ol Situation
12. Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)
13. Without You
14. Primal Scream
15. Sick Love Song
16. Afraid
17. If I Die Tomorrow
18. Saints of Los Angeles
19. The Animal In Me (Remix)

Looks like there's no new songs but a remix of The Animal In Me.

I hate it when artists put the songs on their greatest hits in chronological order. At least give some flow to it. I own every crüe album except for generation swine, one of the live ones (carnival something.... I heard it sucked) and also only have one greatest hits (I got red White & crüe)

After the best effort from motley since the 80s (SOLA), I would haveexpected more. At least they're not as bad as aerosmith with their large list of greatest hits and other pointless albums.
