I did a search and for the first 10 pages I could only find topics detailing releases, deaths and reunions, so I figured I'd just create a thread to discuss everything about this band that are the musical versions of God
I only own two albums as I've not been into them for long, The Wall and The Division Bell, both superb albums, never liked The Division Bell at first and would only listen to What Do You Want From Me, Keep Talking and High Hopes but now I'm really loving it. Loved The Wall since the first time I listened to it.
I've heard the masterpiece that is Darkside Of The Moon, borrowed it from the library and ripped it, will buy my own copy soon, I did the same with Wish You Were Here. Oh and my dad has Echoes but meh, Pink Floyd aren't right for compilation albums. Dad also has a few of their albums on tapes but I can't find the tape player
Oh btw, which album would you guys recommend I get next? They're all about £15-£20 over here so if I'm gonna shell out that much money for a Pink Floyd CD it might as well be one that's been recommened by a Pink Floyd fan. The only cheap ones I found were The Division Bell at £8 which I picked up and Animals at £7.50 which I didn't get and now deeply regret as it's no longer in Tesco's
I'm not even sure why I love them so much, they're just so...magical (?). David Gimour is a kick-ass guitarist.
I just wish I was born years and years earlier so I could have seen them live
