Default Stone Festival Sydney - Aerosmith and Van Halen

Any Aussies on here going to the Stone Music Festival on Saturday?

For those who don't know, Van Halen are headlining, Aerosmith are on before them (which im surprised about) and there are various other acts.

Billy Joel plays Sunday as well as Lifehouse and various others.

But the Saturday is the biggest rock day.

Probably would have checked it out if I was in Sydney. Are you going?

That's very surprising. I'd say Aerosmith are the much bigger band.

Not in the US. Obviously, in Australia I suspect neither of them is very big? But amazing line-up right there with Jimi Barnes playing before them. That will be an epic night. And considering how short aerosmith gigs are, I wouldn't be surprised if they played their normal set.

They didn't have much of a choice.

They initially had started selling tickets for their own concert at the same stadium, but tickets weren't selling well (GA Standing was $179, so is it any wonder?!).

So that Aerosmith gig was cancelled and they are now part of the festival.

The whole organisation of the festival has been a complete disaster - see the venue map and where the stage is.

They only announced it in February and so the stadium will be 75% unused.

I was going to get a cheap ticket on eBay but not sure now.

There's still time for you to book...bit of a treck though.

Yeah, I was just in Sydney last month for Springsteen so can't see myself hopping on a plane tonight for this. Have fun if you end up going.
