Cuz they got a huge fanbase, and Bon Jovi dont go there as much. I dont really consider that best.

If your're talking in terms of bonus tracks on albums (which is the same for all artists who release them in Japan), I thought it was something to do with economic balance, eg. compensating prices of CDs by adding extra tracks aswell.

The above point is valid also, but not in Bon Jovi's case I don't think. Def leppard is a band I can think of at the moment. I think on their Euphoria album the Australian version had 3 bonus tracks, because Leppard hadn't toured in Australia for years.

Someone else would be better off explaining it than me, mind.

Bon Jovi are by far not the only band that put extras on CDs in Japan. As Dave already said, it has business reasons. And I for myself rather pay 15 EUR for a CD of artists where I'm not a fan of and just need to pay the high Japanese prices from time to time than paying a fortune for every CD I want to have.

As soon as a CD is released in the US the JAPS import it and sell it in mainstream stores like HMV and Tower Records. They are about $6-$10 cheaper than JAP CD's. This is why JAP CD's have bonus tracks and why they are released slightly earlier. BY the way, JAP is a racist slur. Jim Bon Jovi thinks it isn't even though he has never left Europe. I am a racist twat though so I don't care. Others might though.
