23. Livin' On A Prayer

The last time Bon Jovi played Vienna was July 22, 2011. The setlist contained 4 surprises; Thorn In My Side showed up in the encore, and a second, unplanned encore was added with Wild Is The Wind, Always and These Days.

No linegraph due to incomplete chart information.

Songs played per album:

Vienna often gets good, but rather safe shows. The last show really was the exception when it came to surprises in the set, and even that setlist didn't have any planned beforehand. I'm expecting more of the same, with the addition of Dry County.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Agree! Also Who Says was a good version, the breakdown part was a bit different the usual. The 'time machine' intro for Runaway from HAND tour was back too!

Regarding the surprises of the show, they also played Radio Saved My Life Tonight. Also Hallelujah was only played a few times in 2011, so it was just as rare as Wild Is The Wind. Whole Lot Of Leavin' started the first encore, which is a staple now again (unfortunately), but on that show it was actually a sign request and was only played in Europe a couple of times in 2011.

Wrong date Seb, the show is at the 17th not the 16th, I think there is some secret gig today though.

They originally said that this would be some sort of all try-out performance today since no one was familiar with the new stage. But this was at the point where they didn't think they'd bring it to Bulgaria and Jon wasn't sick so I pretty much doubt there'll be anything going on today.

Yes, the last Vienna show was great indeed. To begin with, I was not planning on travelling to Austria that summer. But after having witnessed JB injure his meniscus in Helsinki a month earlier I felt I needed to see Bon Jovi one more time that tour.
Such a great concert it was. The encores kept on coming, Jon was on fire, the crowd was awesome. One of the best BJ shows I´ve witnessed since the NJ tour, actually.
