Eh, I'd always seen that line as being overwhelmed by a woman. "Keeping score" makes sense as to yet another affair, but it's not exactly explicit. Do you feel the song's lyrics are amoral or why would that prevent them from being any good, anyway?

Being overwhelmed yes....but the way he reacts to it is actually 'interesting' hoping that you don't know you own me: he is revealing that he hopes she doesnt know what kind of power she has over him...by that he is saying 'you have some power over me....' and he can only react with sexual dominance to compansate. In addition he is also creating this 'angel' image in his mind plus this super bland and flat version of a human being with this aching for my arms and lipstick letter imagery
The ' I want to know what makes you feel, i want to know love truly heals' makes no real sense unless there is a story behind it: 'I want to know your secrets and your sins, I want to feel you breathing out and in is extremely oversteping.

To insinuate the song is about cheating is exactly that, an insinuation. Being overtaken by someone you see at a party doesn't necessarily mean cheating. I don't think it's a bland song in the least because here we are discussing the backstory of the character. About cheating or not I think the mental imagery it creates is great.

Yep, I think he creates a very good imagery in that song and a very relatable one, too. I know that I've exactly felt like that on one or another party a few years ago.
