I've seen them live and walked away. Seriously, they were absolutely rubbish.

They were playing at Arrow Rock Fest and one hour before them there was Whitesnake who were very good, and very loud as well. When they had rebuild the stage for Kiss about 30.000 people were waiting for Kiss to arrive, and when they finally did, their start was spectacular with the band arriving on platforms from the sky and all that.

As soon as the band started playing they lost the crowd though. Right from the start their songs sounded slow, dragged, and the vocals were awful. The only thing that worked was the pyro, but after getting it for every song most people had seen it all.

The worst moment during the 4 songs I've seen was when the singer (I haven't got a clue what his name is) asked the left part of the crowd to scream. And then the right part of the crowd. And instead of hearing the crowd, you could hear a tape running with crowd noises. Really, really pathetic.

They were a joke to me. This wasn't the hottest band on the planet. This was a bunch of clowns holding guitars and doing shitty dance moves while waving their guitar. I was there with some family of mine who had seen them before and said they were shit too, because I wondered if I just wasn't getting it.

When we walked away, we saw at least 30 people doing the same. Kiss were advertised as the band that would top last year's headliner; Aerosmith. Last year nobody left. Nobody. They won't have any problem topping this year's headliner, that's for sure.

Rant over. Anyone else who's seeing them live this tour?

kiss are a joke. im amazed they can still tour in the 1st place.

They are too old now to be doing all the make up and pyros stuff now IMO, they have a couple of good songs, but i wouldt go see em live.

They are well past it now, I bet in their heyday they wernt a bad lvie act either. They have some decent songs, if not a bit cliched, like God gave rock and roll to you and Rocka nd roll all night.

When it gets to that point I think any band should call it a day.

I'm not a Def Leppard fan at all but the vocalist relied to much on the backing vocals and whatever effects they put under his voice. When he was really singing his voice was almost completely shot. They've got a bunch of good guitar players but both of them weren't really spectacular either.

Whitesnake and Gotthard were the only 2 bands that delivered there, in my opinion.

I ****ing hate Kiss, one of the worst, cheesiest bands ever. I utterly despise Gene Simmons. He's an untalented **** and he's so obsessed with money he makes me sick. I read an interview with him and he was talking about putting someone to death. Talk about an ego.

Pathetic band, and whatever Born_To_Run says when he comes on here to defend them, he's wrong, and they most definitely suck compared to Jovi.

i quite like them , funnily enough i'm bidding on their greatest hits at the moment , i think they've got a few decent songs (not that the ones i like get played anymore crazy , crazy nights and god gave rock and roll to you) but i saw a clip on youtube of rock and roll all night from the salt lake city olympics ( i think they must of opened it or closed it , one of them anyway) and it was shocking as seb said , gene simmons sounded shocking and paul stanley seemed more interested in waving his guitar about then playing it.

i read he's a dick aswell (paul stanley this is) i read something about him showcasing his art , for people to buy , and the only way he'd talk to you was if you bought a piece of his "art" and it was like $50,000. All that to talk to shitty guitarist still riding on the back of 20/30 year old success !

one final thing i've heard Ace Frehley's solo work and live shows are pretty good.
